Each of the "weapons" possesses a different power that best suits their owner. Satan (trident of persuasion), Michael (sword of justice and mercy), Gabriel (shield of good news), and Raphael (staff of souls). The narrator of the story, a very curious angel named Uriel, gives insight as to what goes on in Heaven and closely follows Satan and his shenanigans. |

Main Characters
Uriel: Narrator of the story. He is a Cherub, the lowest ranking choir of angel, and has a unique point of view. He is extremely smart and detail oriented. He is very fast, handsome and extremely competitive. Uriel is the apprentice/closest friend to the Archangel, Michael, he who created the art of combat. Uriel has bright blue eyes, just like Michael, as do all angels of the combat lineage of Michael. He is always optimistic and well intentioned, definitely full of energy and the spirit of God. He seems to be very sentimental, always remembering past experiences and looking forward to future ones, but always focused on there present. Uriel does not like to be the center of attention, but focuses his praise on God and his Archangel commanders. The Lord has asked something seemingly simple of him, but he begins to realize that fulfilling his mandates isn’t as simple as he thought. There begins to be a change in him that not even he expected, that begins to really test his resolve.
The Archangel, Satan: Satan is God’s first creature and Archangel to be created. For a while he had the pleasure of having the greatness of the Almighty all to himself. God made him to be the most beautiful of His creatures, to serve God in His entirety, the Trinity of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the proprietor of the Trident of persuasion, which he is often depicted using throughout history, and is the master of all things red. Satan is said to be the master of flight and the only one who can bestow this gift to others. He has a mellow personality but stern. Satan likes to find out things for himself instead of asking the Lord for answers. He is said to have given all angels many incentives to serve the Almighty and fulfill their angelic duties.
The Archangel, Michael: Michael is God’s second oldest Archangel or Gallant. He is the Lord of all things blue and the proprietor of the sword of justice and mercy. His eyes are deep pools of blue. He was created to serve God the Father, therefore taking on the Father’s characteristics. Michael has a curious accent, it is sort of like an old English accent. He sole handedly created the art of combat and battle. No one is more skilled than him in this art form, both in the use of weapons or strategy. Michael’s best friend and apprentice is the narrator, Uriel.
The Archangel, Gabriel: Gabriel is the third Archangel to be created. He is the angel on the cover of the novel, depicted holding his Essence, the shield of good news. He is the Lord of all things green and was created to serve God the Son, therefore taking on the Son’s characteristics. Gabriel’s speech is in common tongue and seems to be deeply involved in all projects concerning the creation of humans.
The Archangel, Raphael: Raphael is the 4th and youngest Archangel. He still speaks in the ancient angelic tongue, known as angel-talk. His speech sometimes has to be translated. He was created to serve God the Holy Spirit with his staff of souls. He is the Lord of everything purple and his purple eyes, match his Essence and armor. He is known to breathe life into angels with his staff.
